Dear Mrs Mosley My name is Donna and I am a Foundation Degree student working on a research assignment at the moment and am looking to you for a little direction. I have chosen to research the benefits Circle Time has on a childs Speech, Language and Communicational Development. If you know of any good names of researchers in this area or have seen or written any pieces of work that could benefit my studies I would be most grateful. Any handy hints or tips that could support my research area would be so very helpful. That you for taking the time out of your busy day to read my e mail, I do appreciate it. Thank you Donna
Thank you for contacting Jenny Mosley's offices. Jenny is currently away training for a few days and has a very busy schedule at this time of year! We have put a section on research and reports on Jenny's website (www.circle-time.co.uk), and also a questions and answers section, so do feel free to browse these.
Circle time is known to be an excellent forum for children to develop their communication skills. Jenny's five step model promotes children learning to listen and taking turns in speaking right from the start. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of specialist researchers in this field although there must be some. Many of Jenny's books for sale on the website give background to circle time and session plans for circle times, which all vary in differnet circumstances, like if its for Early Years, primary or secondary. You could browse the titles to see if any seem to be of interest to you.
I am giving you links to four articles on Jenny Mosley's website news section (www.circle-time.co.uk). Can anyone else please come forward and help Donna with her enquiry?
I hope this helps, best of luck with your research project! Kind regards Zara Niwano Jenny Mosley Consultancies
